No. I have been teaching math for so long that I know different ways to teach each subject. I ask that the student brings me their class room lessons so I can see how the school is teaching it. Then I will adapt my tutoring to fit your needs. If I see that you are having a hard time with the way your school teaches it, we can always try another method that may be more effective to your style of learning.

My Home in Katy, Texas (West Houston). All tutoring sessions are one-on-one and face to face. There are several reasons why I do not meet students at other places other than my home. One main reason is that all my textbooks would be very hard to drag around from place to place!

No. I have tried multiple-student tutoring sessions and they always devolve into a half-hour session for each student. I noticed efficiency drop-off even when the two students being tutored came from the same class. In order to keep success rate high, I only tutor one student per session.

No. $75-$85/hour is the going rate for a skilled Math Tutor; my rate is $80/hour for all tutoring. With my level of experience, I could charge more... but want to keep the price reachable for the students that want the best math education that can't always afford an "Elite Math Tutor". However, depending on how market forces affect the tutoring industry, I may offer some sessions at a reduced rate for a period of time. As of now I am getting more business than I can handle offering my current rates. I guess my many years of quality math service speaks for itself!

No. Homeschool students are tutored at the same $80/hour rate as every other student. I do not offer discounts, packages, or multi-session contracts.

Homeschool tutoring is always one-on-one: one student per session, starting with 7th grade math, using your family's curriculum. I do not teach homeschool classes or groups. More about homeschool math.

No. All tutoring sessions are one-on-one and face to face at my home in Katy. If needed, we can use Zoom for an initial consultation before the first session.

No. My primary focus is high school, and I tutor students from 7th grade math and up. If you need Elementary School tutoring, I will be glad to recommend someone.

No. I only offer individual, one-on-one tutoring for all students — including homeschool students. I do not offer group tutoring, group rates, or classes.

No. I have never posted a request for employees as I prefer to operate as a "one-woman show." I don't expect to hire any tutors in the foreseeable future, although this situation could change as the tutoring industry continues to grow exponentially.
